I’ll always want more.
Out of life.
Out of relationships.
Out of love.

More adventure.
More money.
More opportunities.
More excitement.
More joy.
More spontaneity.

But you, you’re content.
You desire nothing more
Than what’s been placed before you.
Sometimes I want to cry when I think
About how content you’ve become with
Mediocrity.

I’m on fire.
My blaze, spreading madly.
Shore to shore.
Sea to sea.
And if I stay in your presence too long,
You’ll extinguish me.

You could never fulfil me forever.
You’re incapable of loving me
As ferociously as I deserve to be loved.
Because you’re too much in love with being
Stagnant.
Complacency has begun to satisfy you
More than I ever could.
