Rose Menyon Heflin: Three Poems
The Asexual’s Lament
The minutes tick by
Two at a time
Two at a time
The people go by
Two at a time

and shine
on the bodice
of your dress
as you sway,
gently,
to the music
amid the crisp
evening air,
humming happily,
eyes closed.
