The Asexual’s Lament

The minutes tick by
Two at a time
Two at a time

The people go by
Two at a time
Two at a time

Intoxication

Sequins
and sparkles
glitter
and shine

on the bodice
of your dress

as you sway,
gently,
to the music

amid the crisp
evening air,

humming happily,
eyes closed.

They/Them
